About Us

Background

We believe that reputable and valuable education has long been proven to be the best tool to get self-empowerment and the most effective weapon against ignorance, poverty, hunger, and disease.

An enlightened and well-educated community is always our utmost importance and invest in the field of education in order to produce a qualitative environment.


Grand Patron

Born to the royal family of Etsu Nuhu, one of the ruling houses of Agaie Fulani Dynasty, on 4th August 1948 at Agaie in Niger State. He was a professional teacher, strategic administrator, renowned banker, agriculturist and traditionalist per excellence of recent times.

Appointed the 13th Emir of Agaie on Wednesday 9th April 2014. He is the Manager personal farm, Nuhu Farms Limited at Agaie and Chairman Board of Directors of Babba Microfinance Bank Agaie.

Appointed Branch Controller, Central Bank of Nigeria, Sokoto in the Year 2003, transferred to Bauchi and moved to Yola Branch in May 2006. Joined Central Bank of Nigeria as Assistant Director in 1994 and rose to the position of Director Branch Offices Operations.

Niger State Government appointed him as Director General Ministry of Works and Housing (1989-1993). He was Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information, Social Development, Youth, Sport and Culture (1986-1989). He was at Federal Polytechnic Bida as Admin officer and later Deputy Registrar and College of Education Sokoto as Lectural II and HOD History department.


Our Objectives

The main objectives are:

  • To encourage good and qualitative education.
  • To increase awareness of educational opportunities.
  • To render assistance to the less privileged.
  • To promote community development projects.
  • To improve living standards through service to humanity.
  • To reduce illiteracy to the barest minimum
  • To eradicate poverty and hunger by achieving 80-90% self sufficiency in food production.
  • To reduce disease and achieve malaria free environment.
  • To improve essential services such as water, power supply, communication etc where they exist.
  • To provide essential services to communities where they are lacking.

To Strategically invest in the intellecyual abilities of our Children and Youths with view to attaining an accelerated and sustainable development of Nigeria's Socia-economic and Political Penitentials.

  3. Donations from NGO’s Charitable Organizations and Community Development Agencies.

BENEFICIARIES


  1. The initial target is Agaie Emirate (indigenes). The area shall be extended in due course to cover the state and nation.
  2. The emphasis would be on less privileged/talented persons and underdeveloped areas.
  3. Membership of the Foundation is open to all indigenes of Agaie Emirate while honorary membership is open to all non-indigenes.
  4. Quarterly meetings shall be held to admit more members of trustees through 2/3 majority.
  5. Annual general meetings shall be held to include observes from Donor Agencies, Government, etc.
  6. The foundation account shall be audited quarterly in internal auditors and annually by external auditors.
  7. Statement of account shall be made public through annual gazette.
